Hello ~

Iluska & Maelani Translations started because Iluska wanted to try translating. She dragged Maelani in to help her due to her heavy workload. They started on their first novel, RSMLP. However, Maelani soon got a little bored of RSMLP and brought in another translation project. Soon afterwards, to lighten their workload, they roped in their friends to be their editors. Isadora was invited as there were some novels Iluska wanted to have translated but did not have the time for. Isadora picked one out of the few on the list that Iluska dumped on her.

Just for your information, our English skills are average (compared to the ang mors) and our Chinese skills are poor (compared to China chinese). Most of us are doing the translations as a way to improve our language skills and also as a past time. So if you don’t like our translations, go and translate it yourself ~ Muahaha

If you’re wondering why sugakookie wasn’t mentioned, it’s because one fine day, on a cloudless evening, I dropped from the sky and Iluska found me. She took me in and I’m repaying my debt to her by editing her translations. Iluska’s an angel. Thank you for reading, sugakookie out.

An extra bit of information:

The reason why our Translators take a long time is because they rely on their own knowledge of the Chinese language (even if it’s not very good) and the use of dictionaries like Pleco. They seldom use Google translate or any form of MTL unless they do not have the time and are rushing to complete the translations within schedule. The main reason why they are not taking shortcuts is because they wish to improve or maintain their chinese knowledge. That and they also find MTL unreliable.
